What's going on in Canford Heath

Canford Heath Shows Support for Ukraine

As a member of ARCH (Association of Residents of Canford Heath) I am delighted we have teamed up with St Paul's Church to organise a community event at the Church on Saturday 9th April from 11am - 2pm.

You are invited to drop in for tea/coffee, home-made cakes and bacon butties. There will also be a raffle/tombola as well as a chance to either have a go at making or make a donation for lapel ribbon badges or slipknot bracelets in the Ukraine Flag colours of blue and yellow that can be worn to show your support of Ukraine. These will also be available after the event to buy at various venues around Canford Heath.

Funds raised will be going to Canford Heath residents who are hosting refugees from Ukraine and also the Disasters Emergency Commitee (DEC) which brings together 15 leading UK aid charities, raising funds to quickly and effectively respond to overseas disasters.

Terrific Toppers

Have you seen the Easter post box toppers near Adastral Square and next to the bus stop opposite Gibson Road?  They were made by the very clever ladies from Canford Heath Townswomen Guild and will definitely bring a smile to your face!

Homework Hub

From Tuesday 5 April Canford Heath Library will be hosting a Homework Club.  You can come in to do your homework, use the computers and study desks in a quiet area from 4pm. The new Tuesday closing time is 7pm.
