Ryan, a committed local campaigner, has joined the Upton Focus Team. Ryan was co-opted on to Upton Town Council last year. He is aiming make Upton a better place to live alongside Cllr Fred Drane and Cllr Carol Tilling.
Ryan has lived in Purbeck all his life, growing up in Sandford and then moving to Upton two years ago. He works locally for an engineering company and is in training with the Coastguard.
As the youngest member of Upton Town Council, Ryan wants to see existing youth provisions protected and will encourage new youth projects in the area. He is also keen to protect local services such as the library and reduce the impact of heavy traffic on Upton's environment.
He said: "Upton is a great place to live and I'm thrilled to be representing my community on the Town Council. I'm currently representing the Town Council on a number of issues such as housing and development, flooding issues and green spaces. I'm working along with residents, other Town Councillors and District Councillors to help make Upton an even better place to live."
Cllr Carol Tilling said: "I'm delighted that Ryan has joined the team. He's an excellent local campaigner and really cares about our community."
