Join us for a Day of Action to officially launch the campaign for the Dorset County Council elections that are happening in May!
When: 10am to 4pm on Saturday 25th February
Where: Liberal Hall, 14 York Road, Broadstone.
Here in MDNP, we are defending four county council seats and aiming to take two more.
Our county councillors have a strong record of action in their communities. We need them to continue fighting to retain youth clubs, local bus services, and libraries when services are under threat from Conservative cuts.
But they can't win these elections alone. Whether you're from Purbeck, Wimborne, East Dorset, Poole or Bournemouth, please consider helping the Lib Dem Fightback here in our own county.
This is a great opportunity to try out campaigning if you haven't done so before. We will give you all the training you need.
From getting out an about and knocking on doors, to staying in our hall with a cup of tea stuffing letters into envelopes, there will be something for everyone to get involved in.
Lunch will be provided.
This is a great opportunity to start political campaigning and play your part in May’s elections.
Nationally, the Liberal Democrats have been winning local council by-elections with incredible swings and we want to do the same here in Dorset. RSVP today!
£158m to be cut from Dorset's health budget
Have your say: Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) must find £158 million of savings by 2021 to fill the funding gap as Jeremy Hunt continues to cut the national health budget. Major changes face Dorset residents, including downsizing of two major Accident and Emergency departments in Poole and Dorchester, the closure of children units, maternity units, community hospitals and GP surgeries.
