Beryl Ezzard

Beryl has a strong record of action in Wareham and St. Martin. As a longstanding resident of the area, she cares about the people and places that make up Wareham and the surrounding areas and she has the experience to get things done.

When the Conservatives withdrew funding for Youth Clubs in January last year, Beryl started a Charitable Trust, with the community, to take on the Wareham Youth Centre including a 25 year lease and became a Trustee of the Purbeck Youth & Community Foundation in August.

Beryl has also devoted much of her time working with community groups to re-link the railway between Swanage and Wareham as well as supporting Wareham Town Trust’s petition to keep the Wareham Station Pedestrian Level Crossing.

Beryl enjoys volunteering for Swanage Railway Trust, where she is a Trustee. She also promotes renewable energy and recycling in her area and, when she has time, she enjoys walking across the Dorset countryside and gardening. She is proud to be the Champion for Fairtrade for Dorset County & Purbeck District.
